Transferring Your Credits

NYIT has a generous credit acceptance policy, and upon your admission to NYIT, our evaluators will review your transcripts and decide what coursework fits the requirements for your major. It's important that we receive all college transcripts in a timely manner and get final transcripts (including final grades) even if you've already been accepted.

Plans of Study are tools that may serve and assist you in determining the appropriate courses for your Associate's Degree that will best be applied to a Bachelor's Degree at NYIT in a particular academic area.

The following are plans of study NYIT has developed for:

Bergen Community College

Herkimer County Community College

Rockland Community College

*The plans of study above are subject to change and are pending departmental signatures and approvals. Once approvals have been made, the plans of study will be updated and reflected as formal Articulation Agreements.

Articulation Agreements are tools that map out the courses that will transfer over from your prior college to NYIT. They serve as guidelines which will assist you in ensuring a smooth transition from your prior college to NYIT.

NYIT has formal Articulation Agreements with the following:

Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC)

Bramson Ort College

Nassau Community College

Queensborough Community College

Suffolk Community College

Westchester Community College

Nassau County Fire Police EMS Academy

To inquire as to whether NYIT currently has a Plan of Study or an Articulation Agreement with your college or in your academic area, please contact the Office of Transfer Evaluations at transfer@nyit.edu or 516.686.7846.

If you wish to receive an individualized assessment of your transfer credit, we encourage you to apply and use our free application waiver code NYTD2012 to start the process.
