Education Leadership and Technology Requirements

For admission to the Professional Diploma in Education Leadership and Technology program in any specialization, you must:

• Have permanent teaching certification in New York state
• Hold a master's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Demonstrate computer competency via academic or professional experience
• Submit two letters of recommendation from your school district's superintendent and chief learning officer
• Own a wireless laptop computer that complies with NYIT standards

The dean of the School of Education may grant conditional acceptance to the program if you are deficient in any aspect of the above requirements; however, this deficiency must be satisfactorily addressed before you complete 12 credits or continued matriculation will be denied.
