Architecture Requirements

To be accepted in the Master of Architecture in urban and regional design program, you must:

  • Have completed or be in the process of completing a professional degree from an NAAB-accredited college or university
  • Have a composite GPA of at least 2.85; if your GPA is between 2.5 and 2.84, you may be accepted to provisionally matriculated status on the condition that you earn a combined GPA of at least 3.0 in your first four graduate courses.
  • Submit a portfolio of previous architecture and/or design work

If you do not have a Bachelor of Architecture degree but have earned a degree in architectural technology or a related field, you may be accepted into NYIT's Bachelor of Architecture program to complete any necessary coursework, after which you will be accepted into the master's program.
