Advice you give to NYIT applicants

For transfer students, graduation can happen quickly.  I advise students to work diligently for good grades and not to wait until graduation to build their resumes.  I encourage students to use the many resources available on campus—such a Career Services and the Library—and to join a club or association related to their major or future profession.
 

Favorite Vacation Spot

I just visited historic Boston and enjoyed boarding the USS Constitution. Closer to home, I enjoy relaxing drives on Long Island’s North Fork to see the vineyards and farms. 
 

Favorite eatery near NYIT campus

The Barefoot Peddler in Greenvale serves a nice grilled hamburger.  But when I am at the Manhattan campus, I go to Melissa’s Deli on Broadway for a good cup of coffee and to Alan’s Marketplace on Columbus Avenue for a fresh salad.
 

What you want to be when you grow up

I suppose if I followed a different profession, I would like to teach reading.
 

When I am not at work, I am…

driving, shopping, visiting family, gardening, bathing my dog Coco, reading, painting…and on an especially good day, I am out fishing!
