Faculty,Staff, and Administration Information
Your participation in commencement is vital to its success and your presence means a great deal to our students. Faculty does not have to RSVP this year. Please review the following important information:
Faculty Lounge
The faculty lounge will be located in the Sports Complex and will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The lounge will offer regalia pick-up and drop-off, breakfast and lunch, and nearby restrooms. Please arrive early and allow yourself time to park and visit the faculty lounge.
Regalia
All faculty, librarians, and members of the staff and administration who require regalia should please report to the faculty lounge located in the Sports Complex on Commencement morning. We will provide regalia to you as best as we can. There is no need to RSVP or provide sizing ahead of time. (If you have your own regalia, please bring it from home, as there will be no access to offices on Commencement Sunday.)
Parking
Parking on campus will be limited due to the tent location. Therefore, we strongly recommend that all faculty park at the Long Island University, C.W. Post campus, which is adjacent to NYIT's Old Westbury campus. Please park in the Mary M. Lai Finance Building or the Bush Brown Hall lots. This will allow quicker entry and exiting for faculty. In addition, faculty can park in the Wisser Library, 500 Building, Harry Shure Hall, and Salten Hall lots at the Old Westbury campus.
All faculty members must display the white FACULTY PARKING PERMIT on their car dashboards in order to access the faculty lots Faculty who arrive after the campus parking lots are filled will be directed to the C.W. Post campus on Northern Boulevard and will be transported via shuttle bus to the main tent.

Security/Access To Old Westbury Campus Offices/Buildings
Please be advised that all offices and buildings on campus will be locked on May 18 except for the Student Activity Center and Sports Complex. Faculty members will not be able to access their offices or any buildings; accordingly, if you have or own your own regalia, please bring it with you from home.
