NYIT improves student success with a range of academic support services, including Academic Enrichment Programs (advisement, counseling, peer mentoring), EduPlus (enrichment for students who don't meet NYIT admissions standards), Learning Center (tutoring services, skill-based workshops), and HEOP (assistance to students with financial/academic hardships).

This new service, provided by Smarthinking, supplements the current Learning Center hours at all campuses by offering real-time online tutoring for a variety of subjects, some of which are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
