If you are owed money from NYIT—for overpayment on a bill, if a class is cancelled, or for any other reason—your refund will be mailed to you in the form of a check. If you paid by credit card, a refund will be issued to the credit card account provided that the payment was made within 30 days of the date of the refund issuance. Refunds cannot be given to you in person, even if you paid your bill in cash.

Your refund will not be generated automatically. You must fill out a Refund Request Form, even though you may receive a statement indicating that a refund is due.
