Record Number of Employers to Attend NYIT's Annual Career Fair

NYIT Career Fair
Old Westbury, N.Y. (April 3, 2011) — New York Institute of Technology will welcome nearly 100 companies and more than 500 students at the 2012 All Majors Job and Internship Fair on April 5. The annual event gives companies and organizations the opportunity to meet NYIT students in person.
“It’s always been our goal to give students the education and opportunities they need to thrive in today’s marketplace,” says Dean John Hyde of NYIT’s Office of Career Services, which organized the fair. “Events such as the All Majors Job and Internship Fair give students the chance to find out what employers are looking for in a candidate.”
Companies in attendance range across numerous industries—from health care to architecture to global communications—and will include such top firms as MTV Networks/Viacom, Canon USA, Skanska USA Building, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, TD Bank, and Winthrop University Hospital.
“Employers are looking for the best talent they can find,” adds Hyde. “And with nearly 100 companies already registered, they have clearly made their choice to come meet the best NYIT has to offer.”
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. inside the Sports Complex at NYIT’s Old Westbury campus, followed by a brunch and welcome by Rahmat Shoureshi, Ph.D., NYIT provost and vice president of academic affairs. The NYIT All Majors Jobs and Internship Fair runs from noon to 3 p.m.
