NYIT Hosts its Annual Job and Internship Fair

Old Westbury, N.Y. (April 5, 2010) –
New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) will host its annual Job and Internship Fair on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at its Old Westbury campus. All NYIT students and alumni seeking full- and part-time positions are invited to attend.

Many employers from the tri-state area, representing a wide range of companies, will be on hand to inform students about full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities. More than 500 students in NYIT’s 90 undergraduate and graduate programs, ranging from engineering and management to the health professions and fine arts, are expected to attend.

“We offer a diverse talent pool at NYIT,” said John Hyde, dean of NYIT’s Career Services. “Our undergraduates are ready and determined to gain experience outside of the classroom, and our 2010 graduates are prepared to face the job market with the skills and knowledge to succeed in today’s job market.”

Known for its career-oriented undergraduate programs and its distinctive graduate and professional programs, NYIT has more than 7,000 undergraduate, graduate, professional, and medical students on its campuses in Long Island and Manhattan.

All employers from the tri-state are welcome to attend the April 8 Job and Internship Fair, which runs from noon to 4 p.m. at NYIT’s gym in Old Westbury, N.Y.
