Why did you decide to join NYIT?
I was looking for a good place to start my career. I knew that at NYIT I would have a challenging position and that there was potential for growth.


What do you do at NYIT?
I keep alumni connected to NYIT long after graduation. I do this through events, newsletters, mentoring programs, and much more.

Why do you like working here?
I know it sounds cliché, but it’s the people I work with. I see how much they care about the students and the school, and that keeps me motivated. 

What do you hope to achieve during your time here?
I want to see the alumni program continue to grow. I especially want to grow the mentoring program. It’s so important for students to make connections, and our alumni can help them to do that as well as help them to realize what they as NYIT grads can achieve.

What has been your favorite experience so far?
That would have to be a reunion for the first graduates of NYIT that we held during the college’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2006. They told amazing stories about taking classes in an old Knights of Pythias building in Manhattan. They were very impressed and excited by how much NYIT has changed and grown since they came here in the 1950s.  

What is your favorite perk about working at NYIT?
Being able to pursue a Master of Business Administration. Tuition remission allows me to pursue my goals while at the same time making me a more knowledgeable employee.
