New York, N.Y.  ̶  Thanks to its sought-after silent and live auction items, including exclusive wine and dining experiences, and entertainment, sports, fashion and travel lots, NYIT raised more than $314,000 in support of student scholarships at its Gold Coast Classic held last Thursday evening. Since 1997, the Gold Coast Classic event has raised more than $5 million for NYIT students.

Old Westbury, N.Y. ─  New York Institute of Technology’s School of Engineering and Computing Sciences today held its first-ever competition for high school students at its Old Westbury campus to showcase their science and technology projects. Eleven teams representing Brooklyn Tech High School, Commack High School, John F. Kennedy High School Plainview-Old Bethpage, Massapequa High School, and the Girl Scouts of Nassau County vied in this inaugural competition, which was judged by professional engineers, NYIT faculty, several students, and a recent graduate.
